As the UX/UI designer for Token Pledge's initial launch, I needed to create a frictionless user experience to encourage Web3 projects to commit to charitable giving. The primary challenge was designing an intuitive flow that would overcome the technical complexity of on-chain pledges while building trust in a space where confidence in charitable systems is declining.
Working within tight time and budget constraints, I leveraged:
- Industry best practices and established UX/UI patterns for both Web3 and Web2 platforms
- Research on industry problems that revealed pledging entities often lack accountability with no visibility into when and how much is actually donated
- Initial user research conducted by the founder
- Targeted interviews with 2 project founders who would be among the first users to pledge donations
These inputs highlighted that transparency, simplicity, and control were essential for users to feel comfortable pledging funds in this new platform.
I collaborated with the dev team & communicated with the client to design a solution with the following (highlight) flows:
Collaborated with the dev team to imagine an intelligent form that automatically validates and retrieves token market cap data as users enter their project information, reducing friction and building confidence.
Designed a wallet connection flow with clear visualization of the final pledge parameters (Pledge amount, vesting period, future amount..) reducing potential errors and ensuring confidence in the plege decision before signing the contract.
Created a public-facing visualization system showing real-time pledge data and impact metrics to reinforce transparency and community engagement.

I believe good designers don't just design, so I collaborated closely with developers to ensure the user flow was executed perfectly in the final build. The client was delighted with both the design and implementation. We successfully conducted a demo of the platform and facilitated the first closed pledge, validating the effectiveness of the user flow. The platform is now preparing for public launch.
